improper use of otherwise beneficial prescriptions Each of these stresses negatively affect the way in which our nervous system communicates. Our mental or emotional stress can cause hyperactivity in our nervous system, causing an inability to focus, lack of sleep, nervousness and in extreme cases psychological disorders or depression. Lack of balance in our diet, poor nutrient consumption or absorption, excessive soda pop or refined sugar intake or drugs(prescription or otherwise) can have a similar effect.

curves in the spine. First the head migrates forward, very commonly seen beginning with high school and college students from studying or sitting for long periods of time. This results in a loss and occassional complete reversal of the cervical curve. The head weighs on average 10lbs, varying with individual size, and for every inch that the head migrates forward, about 10lbs are added to the weight that the neck has to carry. You can imagine, and may experience, the tension this causes in the shoulders and upper back. Addditionally, to compensate for this forward shift in our center of gravity, the body tends to rock the hips and pelvis forward, resulting in a loss of the lumbar curve in the low back.
